“And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.”

OK, before you start banging out cuss words on your keyboard, hit the delete button for I will not entertain such responses. And for those who question, “Who does she think she is?” Let me answer that for you. I am a child of God that is blessed with the gift of writing, with its intended use to honor God, and contribute to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. When the Holy Spirit prompts – even wakes me up like this morning – I write what I am instructed to write. So, there is no self-righteousness here, just humble obedience.

I am also blessed with a worldwide ministry, and that is no accident. God has graced me with the opportunity to reach millions of lost souls, and spiritually weak Christians that need a dose of spiritual truth. False preachers and teachers don’t care if you go to hell, Christ does. There is no time to be “politically correct” when Christians should be more concerned with spiritual correctness. When we die, we will not stand before the world and be judged by them, we will stand before a Righteous Judge and His faithful followers – to hear either, “Well done,” or “Depart from Me.” I don’t know about you, but I am striving to hear “Well done.” Please do not think that I am this heartless, self-righteous Christian spewing unkindness – not so.

I did not plan to watch Whitney’s funeral, but I felt compelled to do so. It was emotional for me, especially when they hoisted her coffin on their shoulders and carried her away. They played a song that I can directly link to a broken relationship many years ago. I became overwhelmed at the end of her funeral for I was thinking, “Satan destroyed another one.” And I am sure that he is extra proud especially since his handiwork was displayed before the whole world.

With that said, here we go.

Whitney Houston was a gifted singer, who set a singing standard that will remain unchallenged. Yes, she opened doors for other Black female singers, and made substantial contributions to the music industry. She sang songs that uplifted the soul, or words that fit a situation that you may have been going through. In spite of all of her earthly achievements and awards, we must acknowledge the truth. The music and film industries do not exist to promote the things of God, but the whims of the devil. Her contributions did not advance the Kingdom of God, but that of Satan – in film and onstage.

Like so many other Black music artists, Whitney started out singing for God, and then started singing for the world. I saw this t-shirt quote that said something like, “Work for God – The Pay Isn’t Much, But the Retirement Plan Is out of This World.” It has been said that you can make more money singing for the world than singing Gospel music. Many are allured to this fact, and get caught up prostituting their gift for the kingdom of Satan. Has it ever occurred to anyone that perhaps God meant for former gospel singers to use their gift to sing songs about Jesus and salvation, and not about adultery, fornication and the like? God is a jealous God. Many commentators’ have stated that “Whitney is in heaven because God wanted to hear her sing.” Could not an all-powerful, Omnipresent, Omnipotent God have heard her sing from His heavenly throne?”

And here is another thought, did you notice that many entertainers lives are eventually destroyed? The entertainment industries have led many souls to destruction. Yes, numerous artists were willing participants; however, vanity’s grip becomes a stronghold that is not easily shaken. Our gifts from God are to be used to glorify God – especially if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”

GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995)
“Each of you as a good manager must use the gift that God has given you to serve others.”

“Stewards of the manifold grace – Whatever gifts or endowments any man may possess, they are properly speaking, not his own; they are the Lord’s property, and to be employed in his work, and to promote his glory.”   Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible

“Manifold and various are the graces of the Spirit of God, and the rich experiences communicated to men, which are not only for themselves, but for the good of others also: gifts for public usefulness are different one from another; one man has one gift, and another has another; or the same gift is not alike in all, in some greater, and in others less; and all are but stewards: they are accountable for them, and the use of them, to their great Lord and master:”  Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

Although Whitney Houston is an example in this post, what is said applies to everyone in the household of God. She is not the only gospel singer that chose to sing in nightclubs, or on Satan’s many stages throughout the world. So, I am not picking on Whitney. This is a spiritual teaching opportunity while the world is so focused on her life and her death. By the way, no one on earth can confirm Whitney Houston’s final destination, heaven or hell. So stop wasting your time looking for a definitive response on the internet. That conclusion is between Whitney and our Creator, no one else.

Covetousness is the foundation of mostly all desires to become a star. Some child stars are forced by their parents to become famous, and others reach for stardom to create wealth to care for their parents – as in the case of Whitney. She told her mother that she “wanted to be a star” so that she could provide for her – so that Cissy Houston would “never have to work again.” This was a big dream that had many traps waiting for this unsuspecting young woman.

My next comments are not to judge Whitney’s heart and soul concerning her love for the Lord – just speaking the truth. Many have stated that Whitney “loved the Lord.” The only way to confirm this is with the Word of God:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”

John 14:21 “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”

John 14:23 “Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

John 15:10  “If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.”

1 John 2:3 “We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.”

1 John 5:3 “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,”

2 John 1:6 “And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.”

People’s New Testament

“14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Keeping the commandments will be the result if we love him. The Revised Version gives the true idea: If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments. Obedience is the fruit of love.”

Geneva Study Bible

“{6} If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

“(6) He loves Christ rightly who obeys his commandment: and because obedience to Christ is accompanied with an infinite type and amount of miseries, although he is absent in body, yet he comforts his own with the present power of the Holy Spirit, whom the world despises, because it does not know him.”

“keep my commandments: Christ is Lord over his people, as he is the Creator and Redeemer of them, and as he is an head and husband to them, and as such he has a right to issue out his commands, and enjoin a regard unto them;” Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

This is what Satan does when he no longer has use for you. Don’t hide it – face it!

“Keep my commandments – This is the only proper evidence of love to Jesus, for mere profession is no proof of love; but that love for him which leads us to do all his will, to love each other, to deny ourselves, to take up our cross, and to follow him through evil report and through good report, is true attachment. The evidence which we have that a child loves its parents is when that child is willing, without hesitation, gainsaying, or complaining, to do all that the parent requires him to do. So the disciples of Christ are required to show that they are attached to him supremely by yielding to all his requirements, and by patiently doing his will in the face of ridicule and opposition,” 1 John 5:2-3.

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible

What happens to Christians who start out in devotion to our Lord, and choose the world instead is this:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee – The clause should be read, according to the Greek, thus: But I have against thee that thou hast left thy first love. They did not retain that strong and ardent affection for God and sacred things which they had when first brought to the knowledge of the truth, and justified by faith in Christ.”  Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible

I don’t know if this is Whitney’s house or not, but it does capture drug use accurately.

This happens to many believers who are gifted with song. They become attracted to the financial rewards of singing for the world, and leave behind the ministry of song to the lost, and encouragement to the saved. Satan set it up this way being the “god of this world.” Satan was granted rule over the world by God. He is on a leash, and cannot do any and every thing he so desires, but he does have control over more than we realize. During the temptation of Christ, he tried to tempt our Lord to come over to his side:

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“And the devil said to Him, “I will give You all this domain and its glory; for it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.”

International Standard Version (©2008)
He said to Jesus, “I will give you all this authority, along with their glory, because it has been given to me, and I give it to anyone I please.

“All Satan’s promises are deceitful; and if he is permitted to have any influence in disposing of the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them, he uses them as baits to ensnare men to destruction. We should reject at once and with abhorrence, every opportunity of sinful gain or advancement, as a price offered for our souls; we should seek riches, honours, and happiness in the worship and service of God only. Christ will not worship Satan; nor, when he has the kingdoms of the world delivered to him by his Father, will he suffer any remains of the worship of the devil to continue in them.”

“Satan also tempted Jesus to be his own murderer, by unfitting confidence in his Father’s protection, such as he had no warrant for. Let not any abuse of Scripture by Satan or by men abate our esteem, or cause us to abandon its use; but let us study it still, seek to know it, and seek our defense from it in all kinds of assaults. Let this word dwell richly in us, for it is our life. Our victorious Redeemer conquered, not for himself only, but for us also. The devil ended all the temptation. Christ let him try all his force, and defeated him. Satan saw it was to no purpose to attack Christ, who had nothing in him for his fiery darts to fasten upon.”

Don’t close your eyes to what the devil can do. Are Whitney and Bobby bowing to a false God as well? They were involved with a cult.

“It was the aforementioned Prince Asiel who visited Whitney Houston at the Miraval Resort in Arizona a couple of years ago when she was trying to detoxify. The Prince — Warren Brown — presented her with a plan that the Black Hebrews could cure her of her addictions.” Whitney sought help from a known CULT called the Black Hebrew Israelites.

NOTE: This cult information is from archives, however, it is important for Christians to be reminded that Jesus Christ is our Healer not man. She relied on the wrong source to get well. Read more…

“And if we resist the devil, he will flee from us. Yet he departed but till the season when he was again to be let loose upon Jesus, not as a tempter, to draw him to sin, and so to strike at his head, at which he now aimed and was wholly defeated in; but as a persecutor, to bring Christ to suffer, and so to bruise his heel, which it was told him, he should have to do, and would do, though it would be the breaking of his own head, Ge 3:15. Though Satan depart for a season, we shall never be out of his reach till removed from this present evil world.”   Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

Whitney came from a family of gospel singers, including a godmother – Aretha Franklin – that chose to sing for the world instead of honoring God with their gifts. Dionne Warwick, the late Dee Dee Warwick ( her cousins) – and Cissy Houston started out singing gospel music, and defected. Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mother was instrumental in introducing Whitney to Satan’s playground via the nightclub scene. And remember this; they were Christians singing for God at one time.

When Christian’s decide that working for the Lord isn’t as lucrative as serving the devil, they cross over – but sadly – may not get a chance to repent and turn back to their “first love.” In the case of Dionne Warwick, she crossed the line even deeper by getting involved with the occult – representing the Psychic Friends Network. She also had in common with Whitney a drug issue, even at the age of “61.”  Whitney’s influence to go down the wrong road started at home. Her father was in the entertainment business as well.

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

“A man may do some service to two masters, but he can devote himself to the service of no more than one. God requires the whole heart, and will not share it with the world. When two masters oppose each other, no man can serve both. He who holds to the world and loves it, must despise God; he who loves God, must give up the friendship of the world.”   Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

“two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other-Even if the two masters be of one character and have but one object, the servant must take law from one or the other: though he may do what is agreeable to both, he cannot, in the nature of the thing, be servant to more than one. Much less if, as in the present case, their interests are quite different, and even conflicting. In this case, if our affections be in the service of the one-if we “love the one”-we must of necessity “hate the other”; if we determine resolutely to “hold to the one,” we must at the same time disregard, and (if he insist on his claims upon us) even “despise the other.”

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

2 Peter 2:20  “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.”

Geneva Study Bible

“{9} For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”

“(9) It is better to have never known the way of righteousness, than to turn back from it to the old filthiness: and men that do so, are compared to dogs and swine.”

“… persons may be outwardly righteous before men, have a form of godliness and a name to live, and yet be dead in trespasses and sins; all which they may have…”

“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world – This does not necessarily mean that they had been true Christians, and had fallen from grace. People may outwardly reform, and escape from the open corruptions which prevail around them, or which they had themselves practiced, and still have no true grace at heart.”

“Through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ – Neither does This imply that they were true Christians, or that they had ever had any saving knowledge of the Redeemer. There is a knowledge of the doctrines and duties of religion which may lead sinners to abandon their outward vices, which has no connection with saving grace. They may profess religion, and may know enough of religion to understand that it requires them to abandon their vicious habits, and still never be true Christians.”

“They are again entangled therein and overcome – The word rendered “entangled,” (ἐμπλέκω emplekō,) from which is derived our word “implicate,” means to braid in, to interweave; then to involve in, to entangle. It means here that they become implicated in those vices like an animal that is entangled in a net.”

“The latter end is worse with them than the beginning – This is usually the case. Apostates become worse than they were before their professed conversion. “Reformed” drunkards, if they go back to their “cups” again, become more abandoned than ever. Thus, it is with those who have been addicted to any habits of vice, and who profess to become religious, and then fall away. The “reasons” for this may be:

(1) that they are willing now to show to others that they are no longer under the restraints by which they had professedly bound themselves;

(2) that God gives them up to indulgence with fewer restraints than formerly; and,

(3) their old companions in sin may be at special pains to court their society, and to lead them into temptation, in order to obtain a triumph over virtue and religion.” Barnes’ Notes on the Bible

Wesley’s Notes

“2:20 For if after they – Who are thus ensnared. Have escaped the pollutions of the world – The sins which pollute all who know not God. Through the knowledge of Christ – That is, through faith in him, 2Peter 1:3. They are again entangled therein, and overcome, their last state is worse than the first – More inexcusable, and causing a greater damnation.”

People’s New Testament

“2:20 The latter end is worse with them than the beginning. If one who has been converted is enticed back again into his sins, his state is worse than before. That this is possible is taught in many places.”

… “such persons are more extravagant in sinning; are like raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; and are seldom, or ever, recovered; and by their light, knowledge, and profession, their punishment will be more aggravated, and become intolerable.”  Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

“For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act; For how can My name be profaned? And My glory I will not give to another.”

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Romans 6:16 “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?”

There are many more lessons to be learned from this tragedy. Please allow what has been said thus far be a lesson within itself. And for those who are dogging Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina – please stop. Unless you have walked a mile in her shoes, grew up with domestic violence, alcohol and drug addiction, you have no clue what this child was exposed to, and is suffering today. I have been there, and the effects last a life time. Instead of shooting her down – “She is going to be a druggie just like her mom,” pray for her. Help some other teen struggling with drug addiction, and worldly allurements.

Most of all, please read the Word for yourself. True Christians understand that this world is not our true home, and we are just passing through. There are many snares and dangers we will encounter as we navigate our earthly pathway, but it is Jesus who overcame the world so that we would gain the victory in the end. If we reject the blood of Christ, we have no hope.

In this world, what is evil is called “good.” And what is good is called “evil.”

New International Version (©1984)
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Pray for discernment so that you will know the difference.

At the end of the day, we must ask ourselves – “How many souls did Whitney Houston win for Christ?” Michael Jackson? Amy Winehouse? Elvis Presley? The world idolizes these souls incorrectly, and give honor to lives that were not living for God. Why? Because they could sing? Act? What contributions have they made to the Kingdom of Christ? Only these things will be honored by God and everlasting.

And one more thing, Black folks and the Black church – please stop believing that we will get a free pass from God because we sing so well. Stop being deceived. Not everyone that says, “Lord, Lord” is going to heaven. God is Holy, and He will not allow anything that has to do with the flesh in His Holy presence. Read the Bible!

New American Standard Bible (©1995)
“The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.”

“Another fan said: ‘I’d been looking forward to it for months but when Whitney came on stage she was a shadow of her former self and just couldn’t hit the notes. It’s clear the drug abuse has taken its toll and I don’t think she’ll ever be the same again.”

Where Was the Love When Whitney Needed It The Most?Where was the love when Whitney needed it the most?

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

New Living Translation (©2007)
“And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?”

May God be merciful.

Where Are All the Gospel Singers?

You Can’t Serve God And Mammon

“I know that it’s hard to get by on the Gospel circuit, but part of ministry is sacrifice. If you want to make money, don’t get into gospel music. For those of you in gospel music, don’t be fooled by the “success” of secular artists and writers, for their success is temporary. I don’t think that God wants us to be beggars, but it’s important to remember exactly what the gospel is for – not to make a quick buck, but to reach a lost and dying world.”

Whitney’s devastated chauffeur tells of superstar’s wild life and spiral into drug addiction

“He watched helplessly as Whitney and husband Bobby Brown became wasted in the back almost daily, set fire to his car and enjoyed a wild threesome with an A-list soul singer.”

“Al also recalls driving Whitney into rundown ghettos in Los Angeles to meet shady drug dealers so the star could score more drugs.”

“But most shockingly, the star’s drug abuse became so severe that she openly smoked crack in front of her young daughter Bobbi Kristina.”

“Whitney would just say, ‘Baby, Mommy and Daddy are doing adult things’, it wasn’t anything major to her.”

Celine Dion ‘Scared of Show Business’ After Whitney Houston’s Death

“It’s just really unfortunate that drugs, bad people, bad influences took over her dreams, her motherhood,” Celine said of Whitney. “When you think about Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson . . . To get into drugs like that for whatever reason–because of stress, bad influence, whatever.”

“What happens when you have everything? Love, support, motherhood…Something happens that I don’t understand. That’s why I’m scared of show business, of drugs and hanging out. That’s why I don’t go to parties!” she added.”

Why do we always blame ‘toxic’ men for the downfall of female stars?

“To her credit, that wasn’t the legacy Whitney wanted. She had endlessly protested that Bobby Brown was not responsible for  her choices.”

“We were partners,’ she said. ‘The biggest devil is me. I’m either my best friend or my worst enemy.”

“It was an admirable insight. So it’s even more of a pity that no sooner did she die than the rent-a-quote mob insisted upon casting her, like all the rest, as a ‘victim’. Because what I think Whitney knew, and what I think she was trying to say — albeit through self-induced brain damage — is that we have no equality worth the name until we recognise a woman’s equal right to be held to account for her own choices. And for her own mistakes.”

Houston died from drowning, coroner says

“LOS ANGELES (AP) — Whitney Houston was a chronic cocaine user who had the drug in her system when she drowned in a hotel bathtub, coroner’s officials said Thursday after releasing autopsy findings that also noted heart disease contributed to her death.”

“Coroner’s Chief of Operations Craig Harvey said cocaine and its byproducts were found in Houston’s system, and the drug was listed as a contributing factor in her death. He said the results indicated Houston was a chronic cocaine user.”

“Toxicology results also showed Houston had marijuana, Xanax, the muscle relaxant Flexeril, and the allergy medication Benadryl in her system.”

Cocaine Triggers Heart Attacks
Within One Hour

” During the first hour after using cocaine, the user’s risk of heart attack increases nearly 24 times, according to the first large study of the long-suspected relationship between cocaine and heart disease.”

“As the public learns more about the huge risk involved in using cocaine, we hope fewer people will want to experiment with this truly dangerous drug,” says Mittleman. “In addition, we hope that drug education campaigns may use this information about the magnitude of the heart-disease risk associated with cocaine use to prevent individuals from becoming first-time users.” Co-authors are David Mintzer; Malcolm Maclure, Sc.D.; Goeffrey Tofler, M.B.; Jane Sherwood, R. N.; and James Muller, M.D. “

Cocaine heart attack

“Cocaine heart attack is the one of the commonest cause of death of the young people in the united states of America.”

“The cause of cocaine  induced heart attack is due to severe blood vessels constriction due to the administration of cocaine. Cocaine narrows all the blood vessels of the body including the coronary arteries those supply blood to the heart. Because of the narrowing of the coronary arteries causes loss of blood supply to the heart muscle, severe chest pain and sudden death.”

Whitney Houston drowned, but how?

Drowning likely wasn’t the true cause of death, says pathologist Michael Fishbein of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center: “Cocaine is known to cause sudden cardiac death.”

“It can trigger heart disease as well, he adds, making heart rhythm failures more likely. “The fact that she was in a tub when she died may have been coincidental. She likely would have died just walking around.”

“The coroner’s report suggests Houston had some water in her lungs, Fishbein says, leading to the verdict of drowning. But that may have been the result of gasping breaths she took while under water, long after her heart had stopped and organ death had started.”

Thank you so very much for your post, really!! I can appreciate that sometimes things that are hard to hear need to be said but there are many in this world (especially some Christians) that need/want the truth sprinkled with loads of sugar! The bible tells us we are to do what is right but to love mercy. In my WordPress poss Reasons Why My Heart Sings 22 I have tried to honor both those mandates to do what is right but loving mercy!

Hello and thank you for stopping by.

You are welcome! The truth is never palatable in a world where free will reigns. Nonetheless, as followers of Jesus Christ, we are commanded to “spread the Gospel.” More and more we must show how the Bible is relevant to everyday life. Satan sprinkles enough “sugar” through false teaching. True Christians must defend the Gospel without exception – with compassion. We should care that people are dying every day without hope. If you do not tell people the truth, you do not care – I care.

I will visit your site soon.

This is a great post .This is one of just few sites that speaks the truth . I do agree this deceived world translates good as “evil ” and and what is evil as good .We are in the darkest hours of history .What I see of the media and whole intertainment industry ,they are designed to continually feed and numb senses and awareness of people. The made people blind and lost .Mainstream churches can’t do anything because even themselves are lukewarm and almost lost and confused .As for Whitney Houston ,with my limited information of her ,made me feel sorry ,that she seemed hasn’t found Jesus with all her time and opportunity to do so . She wasn’t a bad person by human standards but she was so busy with the world and things of the world and the glory of the world .But death came like a thief in the night , snatched her away unexpected .Would she have known that was her last ,she probably will be heading to a church instead of going to a party. A lesson that every one should prepare at all times ,that any moment in case we meet the Lord that we will be pleasing to His eyes cloth in fine linen of righteousness only by grace of Jesus salvaton given to us.

I was very blessed by your post and thank you that you made use of your time and talent to write .This is beautiful christian biblical perspective. God bless you .

      Hello Lane.

Thank you for your precious feedback. I agree with everything you have stated, and I applaud your spiritual boldness for speaking the truth. It makes you wonder what many would do if they knew their end was nearing. Living the way Whitney did at the end is a dangerous way to exit the earth. I pray that people will take your comment to heart.

Your compliments touch me deeply. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to these truths. We must be bold with the courage of Christ in these Last Days.

May God’s blessings be yours in abundance.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 – … “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”

“If men have no knowledge or belief of the eternal God, they will be very apt to think him such as themselves. How hard is it to form any thoughts of eternity! What men count slackness, is long-suffering, and that to us-ward; it is giving more time to his own people, to advance in knowledge and holiness, and in the exercise of faith and patience, to abound in good works, doing and suffering what they are called to, that they may bring glory to God. Settle therefore in your hearts that you shall certainly be called to give an account of all things done in the body, whether good or evil.”

“And let a humble and diligent walking before God, and a frequent judging of yourselves, show a firm belief of the future judgment, though many live as if they were never to give any account at all. This day will come, when men are secure, and have no expectation of the day of the Lord. The stately palaces, and all the desirable things wherein wordly-minded men seek and place their happiness, shall be burned up; all sorts of creatures God has made, and all the works of men, must pass through the fire, which shall be a consuming fire to all that sin has brought into the world, though a refining fire to the works of God’s hand. What will become of us, if we set our affections on this earth, and make it our portion, seeing all these things shall be burned up? Therefore make sure of happiness beyond this visible world.”

Thank you! Yes, the “world” is a very dangerous place. What it has to offer is a sham, and in most cases – an early grave. I appreciate your comment. Surely I will visit your blog and read your post.

How can you expect me to take you seriously when you quote from numerous Bible per-versions (including NIV) and don’t seem to know where the real WORD is (KJB)? Also, you post as ‘proof’ photos and comments from controlled mass media sources. Whitney’s quote about providing for her mom was probably what she was told to say. Her mother obviously PUSHED the teenager into clubs and staged managed her because Whitney was the goose laying the golden egg. What if Whitney was truly saved as a child? She had zero opportunity to develop as a believer, considering her environment and the people who controlled her. It was obvious she wanted OUT but there is no way OUT from that scene except death. Did it ever occur to you she had everything to lose and nothing at all to gain by continuing to sing gospel at concerts? Her last album was gospel. It is my observation that this practice of continuing to bring Jesus into her concerts, etc., is the exact thing that got her killed. The enemy controls ‘the biz’ and it is forbidden to promote Christ. She was confused when she went to Israel. She was very backslidden. Do you think Christ was not aware of how controlled this woman was from Day One, as a small child? Please.

      Hello Zahava,

How can you expect me to take you seriously when you quote from numerous Bible per-versions (including NIV) and don’t seem to know where the real WORD is (KJB)?

First, it isn’t me, Terry Loving that needs to be taken seriously, but the Word of God. I am just an agent of Truth, a follower of Jesus Christ – doing what I am commanded to do – spread the Gospel.
Why do I quote from various versions? Truly I am very selective of which versions I choose. In addition, many people have complained that they do not understand the Bible when they read the King James Version. My intent is to bring forth Biblical truths more close to the English language that English speaking people most understand. My use of several versions has nothing to do with confusion. I have also researched the NASB (New American Standard Bible) and found it to have pros and cons as well as the King James version. However, the NASB has been noted to be more closely in literal translation.

Also, you post as ‘proof’ photos and comments from controlled mass media sources.

In doing so, I allow my readers to make informed decision for themselves. This is what Journalism is about, presenting information for the masses to digest and draw their own conclusions. People are intelligent enough to sort through information and decide what they want to believe and embrace.

Whitney’s quote about providing for her mom was probably what she was told to say.

How do you know? Where is your proof besides your feelings?

Her mother obviously PUSHED the teenager into clubs and staged managed her because Whitney was the goose laying the golden egg.

How do you know? Where is your proof besides your feelings? Her mother was making her own money. So I guess from this comment Whitney is dead and her mother is the reason why? What happened to free will? From the outside looking in, Whitney did not seem like the type to be controlled.

What if Whitney was truly saved as a child? She had zero opportunity to develop as a believer, considering her environment and the people who controlled her. It was obvious she wanted OUT but there is no way OUT from that scene except death.

I don’t buy this argument at all. Besides, children do not truly grasp the full meaning of being “saved” at a young age. So are you saying that she was hindered in her development as a “saved” person, and not by her own choices? Sorry, but I don’t see where it “was obvious she wanted OUT.” And I am sure many others would agree. Do you have proof from personal experience that the only way “OUT” is “death?” People tend to make assumptions based on their personal feelings, and not real proof. Could this be the case here? Also, you are making the assumption that the devil is stronger than the Power of God. If she really wanted “OUT” God would have helped her to get “OUT.” This statement is based on the Word of God, and not my feelings or opinion.

Did it ever occur to you she had everything to lose and nothing at all to gain by continuing to sing gospel at concerts? Her last album was gospel.

How do you know? What loss are you speaking of? Did you know this woman personally? Did she confide in you what you are saying? I surely do not understand this comment. The comments are your personal feelings. Obviously you loved Whitney Houston, and that is your right to do so. You defend her as if she confided in you personally. I doubt that.
Just because a person “mentions” the name of Christ and sings gospel it does not mean they are “saved.” The Bible teaches that we should “love not the world.” I once loved the world, Whitney loved the world, and that is the bottom line. She lived the lifestyle of the world as many do, as I have once upon a time, and many will until they die.

It is my observation that this practice of continuing to bring Jesus into her concerts, etc., is the exact thing that got her killed.

No one “killed” Whitney Houston but herself. Can anyone make YOU take drugs and live the lifestyle she lived? It is fine if you want to defend her, but please do so with facts.

The enemy controls ‘the biz’ and it is forbidden to promote Christ.

Well now, this is something that we can agree upon. However, those who enter into “the biz” do so with their own free will, and their desire to get rich. The Bible warns those who seek after riches and fame that there is ultimately a price to pay. It has been said that many famous people sold their souls to the devil in exchange for fortune and fame. In doing so, I do not doubt that those who have knowingly denounced their allegiance to Jesus Christ, if it ever existed in the first place. We cannot serve God and riches.

She was confused when she went to Israel. She was very backslidden.

I guess we can agree on this somewhat as well. Here is a quote from the version of the Bible that you uphold:
      King James 2000 Bible (©2003)

“The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from above himself.” Proverbs 14:14

The NIV version calls the “backslider” “faithless,” isn’t this version saying the same thing? The “backslider” has lost faith – in their lifestyle? In their deeds?
      New International Version (©1984)
“The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good man rewarded for his.”

YOU called Whitney “backslidden” – I didn’t. I presented the Word as the Holy Spirit directed me to do so.

Do you think Christ was not aware of how controlled this woman was from Day One, as a small child? Please.

How do you know she was controlled? Whitney stated herself, “The biggest devil is me.”
“In a revealing 2002 interview, Whitney Houston opened up to Diane Sawyer about her battle with addiction, her desire to live up to expectations and her hopes for the future.”

“When asked by Sawyer which vice – alcohol, marijuana, cocaine or pills – was the “biggest devil” for her, Houston said, “No one makes me do anything I don’t want to do. It’s my decision, so the biggest devil is me. I’m either my best friend or my worst enemy. And that’s how I have to deal with it.”
I guess you missed this interview.
I truly do not understand people who defend the lifestyles of the rich and famous. They live by their own rules, and Biblical standards mean nothing to most of them. Christians, believers, the “saved” most of all confuse me concerning this issue. We who are Christians should be defending the cause of Christ, not defending the cause of the world.

Zahava, it is your right to defend Whitney and anyone else you so desire. But please note this: this blog is about defending the Word of God. This blog exists to bring forth the Truth so that the lost in this world can see the Light of Christ and find salvation for their souls. Most of all, I write to defend the abused, and denounce domestic violence, in and out of the church house. The truth “hurts” as the saying goes. And not many people will embrace it.

If it is your desire to attack what the Holy Spirit birthed in my soul to write, please understand that I will not entertain madness. I only allowed your comment so that I could address the negative only once. I will not debate where Whitney will spend eternity, nor did I personally say that she went to heaven or hell. I pray that you will find peace with this issue.

Thank you for stopping by and for your comment.

—– most of the content of this commentary is based on opinion and stems from obviously being a ‘fan’ of Ms. Houston. Since when does singing gospel music mean one is truly regenerated? Here lies the problem within American Christianity…shallow understanding of the essential doctrines concerning soteriology. I would challenge this commenter on what his/her understanding is of the doctrine of regeneration. Ms. Houston did not display any indication that God had regenerated her, how do I know this? Because the Bible says all who sin are slaves to sin {John chapter 8 vs 34}. Ms. Houston was in bondage to her sins, especially the sin of addiction. Next, Christ teaches if the Son sets you free you shall be free indeed {John 8:36}. If Whitney truly were regenerated by the supernatural power of Almighty God, she would have been free from her sinful bondage to drugs. Instead, she spent 3 decades in bondage to it; this is not ‘backslidden’, this is outright rebellion, which is sin. I urge the commenter to open the word of God and seek His truth and also do not defend sinners and their sinful bondages, it is a stench in the nostrils of a holy God. Whitney Houston gave ‘lip service’, but Christ warns against this when He said ‘why do you call me Lord Lord and do not do what I say?’ A mere verbal profession does not mean someone is saved by God, the evidence will be in a changed life, a ‘new creation’ {2 Corinthians 5:17}.

      Hello Lyn,

…”most of the content of this commentary is based on opinion and stems from obviously being a ‘fan’ of Ms. Houston.”

I could not agree with you more.

“Here lies the problem within American Christianity…shallow understanding of the essential doctrines concerning soteriology.”

Again, we are in agreement. It is very sad that Christians, and I assume this commenter is Christian – otherwise, what would be the point of taking issue with what was written – can defend worldly living. It is what we all should run from in order to be saved in the end. It has been my experience that many people who argue about Christianity and salvation do not read the Bible, or they do not understand it.

Too many people view Christ as a pushover, and that He will accept whatever we dish out and still save us. Erroneous doctrine is the culprit for this deceived way of thinking. You either accept the Word of God or you don’t. Satan has blinded the mind of unbelievers, and many supposed saints as well. Bottom line, there are only two kinds of people in this world – saved and unsaved. The Bible makes the distinction concerning both, not our personal feelings and preferences. Very sad that believers defend entertainers more than they defend our Lord. Sad.

Lyn, thank you for your boldness and your zest for the truth. May God bless you and your ministry. Thank you for your treasured comments.

Thank you for allowing me to comment here; it is an honor to defend God’s truth, even when that truth causes others to mock. People who argue from human wisdom instead of God’s truth have no basis for their argument. The human mind is incurable, sick; as Jeremiah 17:9 clearly states. How can such a mind stand toe to toe with the pure, infallible, holy word of the God who is all-wise, all-knowing, all-powerful? It is worth bringing up the encounter Job had with the living God, and what Job had to say when God was finished ‘questioning’ him, “”I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You; Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes.” Job 42:5-6. May the Lord instill fear in the heart of man, may He cause man to be still and know that He is God.

      Hello “Scary,”

I wish I possessed the words to take away your fears, but I believe only God’s Word can do that. Your comment does not indicate whether you are a Christian or not. If you are a Christian, using your gift of song for the Kingdom of God should not make you afraid – especially if you prayed to God for guidance, and waited for His answer. This is where you should begin, on your knees asking the Creator what you should do with your gift. Our gifts belong to God, and we are entrusted with them.

If you are “EXTREMELY scared” of moving in a certain direction, then perhaps you should listen to your inner voice of reason. Personally, I feel that your comment indicates that you are uncertain about your future and direction in life. Reading about “Whitney” and whoever this “Angelica” person is should have no bearing upon your decisions, unless you are living the way they lived.
Please consult the Word of God, and pray for guidance.

There are many scriptures found on this site and in this article that warn of living for the world. The entertainment world as I have mentioned has no intention of lifting up the name of Christ except superficially. If it is your desire to be rich and famous, then perhaps you should be “SCARED.”

I will pray for you and all who are searching for guidance from the Lord. Remember, we cannot “serve two masters.” “You will love the one, and hate the other.”

Oh wow, so much for the mercy of God, huh? I believe Whitney is not in hell, I believe she is purgatory, she is suffering a great deal, but she is not condemn, the mercy of God is endless….

    • ssofdv

      October 31, 2012 at 1:06 pm

      Hello Sally,

I am not sure where you are coming from exactly. However, there is nothing said in this post that definitely places Whitney in hell. I would not be that presumptuous, for I am not God. What the Holy Spirit commanded me to write the day I wrote this post, I wrote – no more – no less.
And yes, God is merciful. But He also expects those who say they love Him to strive to obey His will.

I must take issue with “purgatory” though. The Bible does not support this place at all. You are entitled to what you believe, that is your right. However, this site is about “truth” and there is no truth in a place to “wait off sins.” I was educated by a Catholic friend that “purgatory” is a place you go to “wait off your sins – you are not good enough for heaven, but not bad enough for hell.” Sorry, this is not Biblical and false doctrine.

Let me ask you this: If Whitney is in “purgatory,” how long will she be there? What is the extent of her suffering – in what manner? When her suffering is over, what then?

      King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

      . American Standard Version
      And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment;

      Hebrews 9:27

      Thank you for your comment.

    October 31, 2012 at 3:42 pm

ssofdv has amply addressed the unbiblical issue of purgatory, so I will not linger on that. God’s mercy does not extend past the grave, once your life is over, your chance for being a recipient of mercy draws to a close. The verse already given is ample proof of that, ‘it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.’
Let’s look at the biblical example of the finality of death the Lord Jesus speaks of from Luke 16, starting with verse 19, ‘There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’
I’ll stop with verse 26; here is a contrast of one who enters heaven {‘Abraham’s side’} and one who enters hell, or Hades, which means ‘place of the dead’. We see the rich man in hell, he is in agony, torment, suffering. Is there any hope of him getting out? No, read what is written, ‘child, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things….’ Take note of the ‘chasm’ that is fixed, no one can cross over from hades to heaven, nor can anyone cross over from heaven to hades. There is finality in death.

One must be ‘born again’ {John 3:3} which is a supernatural and mighty work of God as He changes the sinner from the inside out. That change will manifest itself throughout the born again believer’s time on this earth; a born again believer will not spend 3 decades in bondage to sin, like Whitney did, being in bondage to drugs and alcohol. We know she was not born again because her life reflected such. Christ tells us in John 8:34, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.” Here is the state of every sinner ever born. In verse 36 Christ proclaims ‘So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.’ Here is the state of every believer that is born again by God. The bondage to the sin of addiction would have been broken in Whitney if she’d truly belonged to God. The doctrine of regeneration is not taught, or wrongly taught, in most denominations today.
All of mankind must understand this, we are sinners, wicked, vile, filthy sinners that have broken God’s holy law. We are without hope apart from God’s grace, but we cannot receive that grace by trying to obtain it through our own works. Please read this verse from Ephesians 2:8-9, ‘or by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.’ Salvation does not come from us doing a ‘work’, such as participating in the sacraments. You must believe completely and wholeheartedly in the finished work of the Lord Jesus on the cross. He atoned for sin, He alone bore our sins. His perfect righteous life is imputed to all whom God grants grace to, which includes those who see just how vile and sinful they are and do as the tax collector in Luke 18:13 did…’But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ His shame and guilt of sin caused him to come before a Holy God and stand there, head held down knowing he was guilty of his crimes against the Almighty, pounding on his chest as the pain of his sin causes him great anguish, and he cries out in anguish ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’.
‘The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.’ – Psalm 51:17

      Hello “lyn,”

Thank you for your follow-up comments to “Sally.” There really isn’t much more I could add without repeating some of the truths you have already stated. Whether truth is accepted or not, we must share it. And you are doing a great job.

      Two Resurrections

“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.” (The spiritually dead)

“For just as the Father has life in Himself, even so He gave to the Son also to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. “Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.”

      (John 5:25-29)

I really enjoyed your article. Surely after becoming a Christian, we should live for Christ and by God’s word. Once saved is not always saved. Osunde Patience, thank you for your comment. Not many people today are interested in truth – you are so right. Deception has a stronghold on the world and most people don’t mind it at all. Living for Christ may not be an easy path, but it is the only path that brings peace to our individual lives if we honestly embrace the Prince of Peace. Thanks again.

Do you understand what Jesus meant when He said ‘you must be born again’?

You accuse us of judging, and yet you come here calling us names, and judge us; isn’t that a definition of a hypocrite?

      You also demand we read our bibles, and yet, your response is filled with mostly your opinion and little to no scripture to support your accusations.;

Whitney Houston bore no evidence that she had been regenerated by the power of God. She was in bondage to drugs and alcohol for three decades. Now, answer this for me please. Jesus says in John 8:34, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin.’ This tells us every one of us are in bondage to sin, including Whitney. Christ goes on to say ‘ “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.’ John 8:36 Here He tells us that those He re-births are freed from sin’s bondage, including drugs and alcohol. Here is my question for you, if Whitney Houston were truly born from above by God, she would have been freed from her sinful addictions. Why is it she was enslaved to drugs and alcohol for 3 decades? How can it be she is still enslaved to them? Is Christ a liar, or was she?

        Hello Lyn and thank you!

Yeah, I thought the name calling was a bit much as well. We should be mature enough to defend the cause of Christ without getting ugly. Let us continue to pray for those who do not understand.

        You are welcome here always.

        Hello Terry,

thank you for your kindness; I agree, to resort to name calling is immature. We are called to defend the faith, not mortal men and women. When we disagree, we should always present our argument with Scripture, not name calling and opinions. Sadly, some will defend their ‘idol’ over the word of the Lord and attack God’s people. Mere professions of faith are not an indication one is truly saved, for just as Christ stated, ‘ye must be born again’. God must first do a work in the heart, transforming the sinner. The doctrine of regeneration is sorely misunderstood and has been replaced with an ‘easy believism’ type of evangelism, i.e., ‘repeat this prayer’ , or ‘invite Jesus into your heart’, or ‘make a decision for Jesus’. These are all man-made ‘works’, the very thing Paul speaks in opposition of in Ephesians 2:8-9, ‘ for by grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man boast.’

This is the most popular ‘brand’ of Christianity in America, and yet, it isn’t from God. Whitney Houston displayed no evidence of being born from above by God; just because she repeatedly professed Christ with her lips is no indication that He knew her. Isaiah states that they honor Christ with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him {my paraphrase}. This is what Whitney did, she gave lip service but her heart was not regenerated by God. She was still in the bondage of iniquity, her decades long addiction proved such. I know I am preaching to the choir, but my prayer is that naj will read this and that God will open the blind eye, the deaf ear…

May God’s blessings be upon you dear one as you stand firm in the faith

Praise God! Could not agree more.

The sad part of all is the fact that many will lose their souls because the people of God are not willing to tell the lost the truth. Even if not accepted, they should hear it anyway so that we will not be guilty of cowardice when we stand before God. On the other hand, many Believers have been brain washed to believe that God is just too nice of a God to condemn.

In this spiritually correct climate, what feels good to the ear is what people desire –
        “itching ears.”

Lyn, you are very welcome, and likewise:

“but my prayer is that naj will read this and that God will open the blind eye, the deaf ear…”

“May God’s blessings be upon you dear one as you stand firm in the faith”

      Hello naj,

“you all are retared and dum and i hate to be like this or say this BUT…

No offense “naj” but – this is the same mentality of abusers. Name calling isn’t necessary to express your opinion on any given topic. We can all agree to disagree without ugly verbal abuse. Abusers also offer a “BUT” before they dish out their verbal tirades and physical abuse. It is my hope that you are not identifying with Jesus Christ and hurling abuse, especially publically for the whole world to see.

You obviously subscribe to a feel good Christianity, without any spiritual responsibility towards Christ. Where is your solid proof that anyone who has died is “forgiven.” Only God can make that decision and declare it as fact. I believe you missed the whole point of this post. Isn’t it funny how a Christian says what the Bible says, and it is construed as “judging.” If saying what the Bible says is “judging,” then the Word of God is doing the “judging.”

I believe I have said all that the Holy Spirit instructed me to say concerning this issue; therefore I shall not repeat what has been written – including comments. I really wish though, “Believers” would defend the cause of Christ so sternly. Instead, many lift up the “world” and squash the very Words that save souls. I don’t get that.

The Gospel has not been twisted, as this is your personal opinion based on your own interpretation. Sadly, even people who claim Christianity do not want the meat of the Word, but spiritual fantasy.

“You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.” (James 2:19)

Mere belief “only” in Christ is no indicator that one is saved.

“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” 1 Peter 1:14-16

This is what we are commanded to strive for, not wallow in our weakness, but rely on the Grace of God to help us achieve holiness. We fall, but we must get up and keep trying, God’s way!

“But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” (James 2:18)

“Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.”
      (James 2:17)

I myself have learned that you cannot live like the world and expect people to see Jesus through your worldly actions. The world should see a difference in us, not a reflection of what we are commanded to renounce. Straddling the fence caused me a lot of heartache, as it will be for others.

I will pray for you that your heart will open to wisdom and understanding.
      Thank you for your comment.

A couple of more verses for you to consider…

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? – Romans 6:1-2

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? – Romans 6:15-16

Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:3
1 Jn 3:6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
    1Jn 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;
1Jn 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
1Jn 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

To sum it all up, no one born of God makes a daily habitual willful practice of sin, the same sins indulged in over and over and over. To do so clearly tells one that that person is not born of God.
